Sobremesa
Every week, Sobremesa asks the person you love a question on WhatsApp. They answer in their own voice. And their stories become a book, with a QR code on every page to hear them again.
A book to share today and open again years from now. With the stories you know, and the ones they haven’t told you yet.
Full refund until they record their first story.
Idea
Sobremesa Original
We don’t write their story. They do.
Their voice, their names, their places, and their version of events are preserved exactly as they told them. The expressions they always use, the little details, and their unique way of remembering things. All of it makes it possible to recognize the person behind each story as you read.
We simply organize the text so their memories find their place on the pages. Each answer becomes a first-person chapter, staying true to their words and what they wanted to share. So that opening the book feels a little like sitting down and listening to them all over again.
How it works
Tell us who it’s for, your relationship with them, and choose the questions you’d like them to answer. Share their WhatsApp number with us, and we’ll create a private account where you can follow the book’s progress in real time.

Example of a question
What words would you leave
your grandchildren?
This is Nona, our very
first storyteller.
Her memories, anecdotes,
and life experiences have
become a book told in her
own words and voice.
A way to preserve the stories
of the people we love most, forever.
Listen to one of Nona’s stories
For anyone whose story you want to preserve
For someone you’ve known your whole life, yet still
have so many stories left to discover. A gift to take the
time to listen to them, get to know them a little
better, and keep their memories close to your own.
Start your bookWhat people are saying
There are people whose voices you’d recognize anywhere, yet
there’s still so much you don’t know about them. Listening to
their memories is a way of getting to know them all over again
and discovering how much of their story lives within you, too.
Every book begins with someone who wants to share and someone who wants to listen. With a question that’s been waiting to be asked, a memory that brings back another, and a conversation that makes you want to stay a little longer. Between those words, you discover details you never knew and little gestures you recognize instantly. Slowly, a life finds its place among the pages.
In these videos, people who have already experienced Sobremesa share their stories. We’ll leave you with them, their voices, and their own way of expressing what the experience has meant to them. Because this part of the story belongs to them.
